The main focus of my work is providing Children's Counselling, youth counselling and associated parent sessions. I work with children and young people from 2 years and up. I work with all presentations - including depression, anxiety, worries, trauma, relational or attachment issues, school refusal and many more.
The aim of my therapeutic work is often to support the growth and healing of children in the context of safe and respectful therapeutic environments. I can work with parents, schools and other health professionals to help integrate the therapeutic gains in different settings. In my experience, a team approach, including parents, really works best with young people.
I am a Tuning into Kids facilitator and draw upon this evidenced based Emotion Coaching approach in my work. I also took part in a research component of Tuning into Toddlers as a co-facilitator.
